About the project:
Space installation is my answer to the change of Instagram and Facebook's Community Guidelines. Facebook, which owns Instagram, has taken the most appropriate measure so far to protect users from endless desires: it quietly changed its rules to prohibit many uses related to emoji sexuality, such as eggplant and peach, in both public posts and private conversations on Facebook and Instagram. I would like to present and condemn dishonest and sexist censorship on social media. This new wave of censorship has unfortunately influenced many accounts that have body-positive, sex-positive, artistic and even educational goals. At the same time, very misogynist photos of women shown as sexual objects are not only accepted but also celebrated. And they have a great impact on many young people. Banning of photos and profiles also involves the outsourcing of low-paid employees to view and evaluate content, graphics and often violent photos to ensure the ‘security’ of the application, which raises the question of whose security is protected and why.
